First Appearance The Swan Princess

Bromley is a major character of The Swan Princess. He is Derek's lifelong chap sidekick, and fellow archer. He is the comic relief of the movie, along with Lord Rogers.

He is one the funniest and devoted characters. He is also the one who gets pestered by Rogers a lot, like in the "Catch and Fire", and the "Suspect's footprint" and he was grabbed by Rogers and thrown into a mud puddle.

He's known Odette since they were children. At first, he didn't like Odette and he would often tease her along with Derek. But he later grew fond of her.

Bromley always faints at the end of all three of the original movies: The first time is when Rothbart dies. The next time is when he sees a shadow on the wall which Rogers claims to be the great animal back from the dead, but it was only Uberta's hair styled in the shape of a swan. In the second movie, he faints after Odette changes back into a human from a swan. And in the third movie, while commenting to a young woman (who looks like one of the princesses from the first film) that the obstacle course "doesn't even have a snake pit", she points to a snake that has just appeared from the tree, and at the sight of it, Bromley faints.

Appearance[]

Bromley is an obese man and has long dark brown hair, a pair of green eyes, a big triangular nose and pale skin. He wears a dark brown medieval neck collar, a light brown shirt with gray long sleeves, a brown belt with a golden buckle on it, long dark brown pants, and a pair of brown boots with dark gray folded cuffs over them.

Quotes[]

"C c c c catch and fire! You mean me?"

"Please, oh, please, oh, please no". - While practicing "Catch and Fire".

"You lost your Queen, Derek." - While playing chess

"Well, Rogers, old man, I suppose you owe me an apology. After all, if it weren't for me, the great animal would still be alive!" - Bromley talking to Rogers at the end of the first movie.

"Why wont Alise follow?, no one ever finds me!"

Trivia[]

  • Bromley in English means "meadow where brooms grow" and the same name of a town in London, England.
